The first module of Elite Strength and Conditioning Course dedidacted to Training Load Management took place at INSEP from 20th to 24th of January. 24 elite Strength and Conditiong coaches from the 5 partner countries (Sweden, Finland, Italy, Switzerland and France) joined during a 5-day seminar.
The programme was intense and aimed at getting the trainees to know each other, to share practices and to work together to deliver practical solutions . Another objective was to deliver up-to-date knowledge in the field of strength and conditioning thanks to the participation of internationally reknown scientists.
In order to do so, the trainees attended different types of sessions :
- Co-development sessions, managed by Professional facilitators. The objective is to discuss professional issues.
- Teamwork sessions on practical case-study.
- Lectures by 2 renown scientists, Inigo Mujika and Stephen Seiler & short-lectures by Yann Le Meur, Sébastien Ratel, Olivier Maurelli, Franck Brocherie and Issa Moussa.
- Practical presentations of training load management in Modern Pentathlon, Badminton and Swimming, at INSEP.
The whole week was transcripted by a graphic facilitator, Yann Chapus, who captured the pedagogical process and highlights of the module.
Trainees will also have the chance to look at the different sequences thanks to the e-learning platform which was created for them.
The module ended with a debriefing of the session and the presentation of the Swedish module which will take place from 16th to 20th October on Testing.
